Hey guys, happy Saturday! I don’t know about where you are, but the weather here is HOT! So, I’m trying to stay cool in the AC as I write this post. Last week I talked about why you should hire a wedding planner. This week, let’s talk about why you should hire a partial wedding planner.
A partial wedding planner is a great idea for those brides who want to and have the time to take the lead in the planning process, but who would like a little guidance along the way.
Someone to call/text or email
Are you getting overwhelmed by all of your ideas (or all of your friends and family’s ideas)? Who better to bounce ideas off of and get help and advice from than a wedding planner?! A good planner can be the key to keeping your sanity. Your planner wants to help you achieve YOUR vision, not anyone else’s and will tell you exactly how to achieve that vision.
A partial planner can be there for a few planning meetings to get you or keep you on track and to make sure everything is going as planned.
Like I said in our “Why You Should Hire A Planner” post, wedding planners form close relationships with vendors. I mean, they work with them all the time, so you know the planner is going to know better than a google search which vendors are going to be reliable, worth the money, work well with other vendors, and deliver a great product or service.
Site Visit + Final Meeting
The site visit can be overwhelming on your own! How many tables do you need (don’t forget the cake table, gift table, place card table, tables for the dj, etc.)? What sizes do you need? Where are the vendors going to be set up? Where are you going to enter/exit? The list of questions goes on and on. The partial can take care of all of this for you, so you can just get excited envisioning how your venue will look on your big day. The planner can also coordinate a final meeting between all vendors to make sure everyone is on the same page as to when they are arriving, where they are going, what they are doing, how they are doing it, and when they are doing it.
Takes Charge of Rehearsal and Day Of
A partial planner can take the dream that you’ve been working so hard on to plan for the last 6…12…18 months, execute it and make it a reality. You can enjoy your day and let the planner take charge of the logistics of the ceremony and reception. She will make sure all vendors are where they need to be and that all decor is set up perfectly. Plus, which sounds better: 1) leaving with your hubby in an amazing send off or 2). staying until all the guests leave to break down and clean up the reception space? Let the planner do the setup and the clean up and you enjoy your day!
